Dear Students, Teachers, School Heads, and Community Members,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the launch of the official website for the Board of Elementary Examination Gilgit-Baltistan (BEEGB). This significant milestone reflects our firm commitment to enhancing the quality of education in our region. Considering its mandate, the School Education Department Gilgit-Baltistan (SED, GB) has taken various initiatives such as the approval of the Gilgit-Baltistan Compulsory Education Act, 2020, provision of free textbooks from Infant to Grade 10, upgrading and establishing schools at different levels as per policy and minimum standards of SEDGB, and providing missing facilities to schools on a need basis. Moreover, enrollment drives have been made essential components of SED plans, and home-based schools have been established in Diamer, one of the most disadvantaged districts of GB, to enhance female education. Besides these initiatives, the SED GB has prioritized reforms in assessment practices, which are the cornerstone of an effective education system. Assessment provides critical insights into students' learning progress, informs instructional strategies, and ensures that educational standards are met. Recognizing this, the Gilgit-Baltistan Education Strategy 2015-2030 has placed a strong emphasis on developing a robust assessment framework. This strategic document highlights our shared vision for a progressive and inclusive educational environment, where each student is given the opportunity to excel without any discrimination of race, color, ethnicity, or faith. In line with these strategic goals, the Department of Education Gilgit-Baltistan has taken another significant initiative by establishing the centralized Board of Elementary Examination Gilgit-Baltistan (BEEGB). This institution serves as a pivotal entity in standardizing and streamlining elementary level assessments across Gilgit-Baltistan. The launch of the BEEGB website marks a new era of accessibility and transparency. This platform will provide educators, students, and parents with easy access to important information, resources, and updates related to assessments. It will also serve as a hub for communication and collaboration, ensuring that our community stays informed and engaged with the latest developments in education. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed to the successful establishment of BEEGB and the development of this website. Together, we are building a brighter future for the children of Gilgit-Baltistan, fostering an environment where quality education and effective assessment go hand in hand. Let us continue to work together in our pursuit of educational excellence.
